I'm pleased to put our head Nurse's name, Mrs. Crawford, forward for this. As the head nurse at New Brunswick Public School District, she's not just meeting the basic requirements of her job; she's truly a standout, a real superstar in school nursing. What's amazing about Mrs. Crawford is how much she cares about our students' well-being. She constantly updates our policy and procedures and stays abreast of new developments in school nursing. She actively works to make our whole school community healthier. She's organized community vaccine clinics and fairs, and some fantastic workshops and trainings for nurses, for instance, Stop-the-Bleed, First-Aid for school nurses, and she's even started some really smart programs to help students who have ongoing health issues. She does so much more than what you'd expect from a school nurse. Plus, she's a great leader. She guides her team well, and we all work together effectively. Honestly, Mrs. Crawford's dedication, her forward-thinking approach, and how deeply she cares make her incredibly important to our school community. She's a true superstar in what she does!
