Melanie is very compassionate and empathetic to her students - going above and beyond to meet the needs of her students. She organizes a very large school/community "Santa project" to assure that her students can celebrate Christmas. She organizes several fundraisers for this project. She is very involved in her community assisting to provide several opportunities for her students and families. In addition to her daily responsibilities, she has been the district lead nurse for several years - modeling a dedicated school nurse and solving issues that arise in the district schools.
