I am thrilled to nominate Kristie for the Superstar School Nurse Award. She is an exceptional nurse, a fierce advocate for her students, and an irreplaceable member of our school community. Kristie consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that students’ health needs are met with compassion, professionalism, and persistence. She is a tireless advocate, representing students in meetings and pursuing every possible resource to support their well-being and success. Her advocacy ensures that no student falls through the cracks. Her calm demeanor in high-stress situations is remarkable. She has repeatedly demonstrated her ability to manage emergencies with clarity, confidence, and expert clinical skill. No matter the crisis, she remains focused, composed, and reassuring to those around her. Kristie is also a team player who actively collaborates with colleagues across disciplines. She understands that student health and success require a collective effort, and she’s often the glue that brings different stakeholders together. Her office is a model of efficiency and care. She is incredibly organized, ensuring that every process—from medication management to documentation to daily care—is handled with precision. Her attention to detail and forward planning create a supportive, structured environment where students and staff alike feel safe and cared for. In short, Kristie is not only amazing, fabulous, and a true superstar—she is a cornerstone of our school community.
