Nurse Tessa has been working diligently in partnership with our school social worker to create a safe, healthy, and welcome environment for our students. Tessa helped facilitate a free dental clinic at our elementary school in partnership with local dentists in the area to provide free dental cleanings for students, as well as providing coordinated care with our school social worker to make sure all families have access to medical and mental health care. Our school district is in a low-income rural area of Ohio, so we have many students with medical and mental health needs in our area. Tessa has done an amazing job at balancing the needs of our students, families, and staff at East Knox Elementary School.
