Nurse Britton is the loving School Nurse at North Bay Elementary of the Biloxi Public Schools District. Her passionate spirit serves over 500 students with distributing over 50 daily medications, seeing an average of 40 daily clinical visits, along with diabetic care, for diabetic students, and taking care of medically fragile students. She serves as one of the CPR coordinators for our school district for over 500 CPR certified employees. Recently, she became a certified School Nurse by passing the National Board Certification of School Nurses’s test. Last year, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. As a school nurse for Title 1 students, she always trying to find community resources for our low income and underserved families through toy giveaways for Christmas, local community charities that supply clothes and food, and obtains free supplies for the school district that may cost $1,000 that would have to be spent in our nursing budget. As her colleague, I wholeheartedly recommend Nurse Kristin Britton as a Superstar School Nurse.
